Current Needs

St. Paul's Hospital (SPH) is committed to providing patients the best in compassionate care while ensuring our hospital is positioned to meet the changing needs of our community we serve.

St. Paul's Hospital Foundation provides additional resources to our Hospital, making it possible to provide the best in patient care by our skilled and dedicated physicians and staff. Current needs range from simple patient comfort items to the most sophisticated technology.

With patients as our focus, we work to incorporate state-of-the-art technology and practices that provide the most effective diagnostic and treatment options available. We work toward improving treatment accessibility, offering less invasive procedures which shorten both patient waiting times and recovery and ensure safe, quality care for the residents of Saskatoon and throughout Saskatchewan for many years to come.

Looking towards the future, there are a number of avenues for development we are actively pursuing. St. Paul's Renal Services continues to develop new strategies for patient self-management, along with the continued establishment of the Les and Irene Dubé Urology Centre of Care.  A collaboratively developed proposal for a hospice is under consideration, as work continues on the hospice concept to provide additional options for end-of-life care.

Through 2010 a facility Master Plan will be completed to guide renovation and development projects to meet our communities changing needs.
