Mistletoe Ball and Baskets Raises Over $275,000 for By Your Side Kidney Care Campaign

On Saturday, November 16th, St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation hosted their 35th Annual Mistletoe Ball, presented by dedicated sponsor Nutrien. In addition, the Foundation partnered once more with SaskMade Marketplace to continue the sale of the wonderful Mistletoe Baskets, which contain 100% local products and will be delivered this upcoming weekend. Together, the Mistletoe Ball and Baskets have raised over $275,000 (gross) for St. Paul’s Hospital (SPH) Foundation.

“The Mistletoe Ball and Baskets are a beautiful holiday tradition for our Foundation, made possible by each of our sponsors, donors, volunteers and attendees,” says Lecina Hicke, CEO of SPH Foundation. She adds, “This year’s Ball and Baskets will benefit our By Your Side Kidney Care Campaign, and we are so grateful to be a part of a community that supports our goal to address disparities in health care outcomes for the patients of Central and Northern Saskatchewan.”

Through the Campaign, St. Paul’s Hospital Foundation is facilitating the prevention and early detection of disease through five-year pilot point-of-care screening programs. The Foundation is also improving patient education and treatment options by building a new Kidney Health and Education Centre, and furthering holistic care at the Hospital through the construction of an Indigenous Healing Centre and the introduction of a pilot patient porter program at SPH.
