Charity Golf Classic Raises over 100,000 dollars in Support of Prostate Cancer

Charity Golf Classic Raises $108,090 in Support of Prostate Cancer

Thanks to the help of Edmonton Oilers Head Coach Todd McLellan and Friends, urology patients in Saskatchewan will be receiving better care than ever.

The Driving Fore Prostate VIP Reception & Celebrity Auction on August 25 and the Driving Fore Prostate Golf Classic on August 26 at Dakota Dunes Golf Links collectively raised $108,090 in support of the Leslie and Irene Dubé Urology Centre of Health and Urology Operating Theatre #8 at St. Paul’s Hospital.

We wish to thank Todd McLellan and friends, our many specials guests, our generous presenting sponsor Athabasca Basin Security, the many gracious participating sponsors, our patrons, the dedicated Driving Fore Prostate Committee, and our amazing volunteers for making
Driving Fore Prostate with Todd McLellan & Friends such a great success.

The Leslie and Irene Dubé Urology Centre of Health provides valuable guidance to patients facing a diagnosis of prostate cancer or other urological illnesses. Nurse Navigators help men and their families determine important decisions in relation to their treatment plans, which will often include surgical procedures. This year, proceeds from the Driving Fore Prostate Golf Tournament will also support the complete transformation of the surgical theatre largely dedicated to the treatment of urological patients. These changes will help to reduce surgical wait times, improve efficiencies within the operating room and provide our dedicated surgeons and their staff the very latest technologies to support the very best health outcomes for patients.

St. Paul’s Hospital is an independently owned, faith-based Hospital working in partnership with Saskatoon Health Region. With a strong focus on compassionate and holistic health care, St. Paul’s Hospital is also an educational facility providing acute-care health practitioners with the training they need to become tomorrow’s leaders.
