Spiritual Care Resources "A crisis in health almost always results in a crisis in our sense of meaning, identity and purpose. It is at these times that we are most dependent on our spirituality. " Brian Zimmer, Director of Mission SPH Spirituality is expressed in the attitudes, beliefs and practices which empower people's lives and help them to know hope, experience healing, and to embrace community with others. St. Paul's Hospital is committed to providing quality spiritual care in the health care setting in an effort to help others through words, acts and companionship, Presence and listening are two expressions of caring that prove to be important for the achievement and maintenance of health. Spiritual Care providers are on site from 8:00 a.m. - 11:00 p.m. daily, and on call during off hours. In addition, there are Chaplains available who represent various Christian traditions including Roman Catholic, Lutheran, Mennonite, Anglican and United. We also welcome the opportunity to help you contact spiritual caregivers of your particular church and those of other faith traditions. Confession, Communion, and the Sacrament of the Sick(anointing) are readily available upon request. The chapel is located on the 3rd floor.
