SPH Team members lead November Ethics Exchange
The Saskatchewan Health Authority hosts a monthly education opportunity, the Ethics Exchange, which invites physicians, staff, patients and families from across the SHA to participate in a conversation about an ethical issue. On November 17th, SPH physiotherapist Bronwyn Lasair and ethicist Dr. Mary Heilman asked participants to reflect on the process of consent with their presentation, “Ongoing Consent: The Art of Collaboration.” The session covered three learning objectives:
1.Describe different types of consent.
2.Understand the benefits and challenges of engaging patients in ongoing consent.
3.Apply this knowledge to case studies.
