Spiritual Care
One of the core values of St. Paul’s Hospital is Holistic Care. Spiritual Care services allows us to truly live this core value by providing Holistic Care to our patients.
For almost 20 years, our nationally accredited Spiritual Care Education Program has been training people to work as spiritual care practitioners in a health care setting. The Program helps develop the listening and other skills necessary to support patients and their families through health crises.
For patients and their families, the following locations within the Hospital provide sanctuary and sacred spaces for quiet reflection:
- Hospital Chapel,
- Multi-faith Stillness Room,
- First Nations Prayer and Ceremonial Room
- Several Quiet Rooms provide
As leaders of the Spiritual Care Program and in keeping with the spirit of Marguerite d’Youville, who founded the Grey Nuns in the 18th century, our Spiritual Care staff work together with patients and their families to ensure that spiritual needs are being met.

Spiritual Care Practicitioners at St. Paul's Hospital can be paged at Information or by dialing (306) 655-5884. The Spiritual Care office at St. Paul's Hospital is located in B-Wing on the Main Floor, however Spiritual Care Associates are often away from there desk attending patients, and therefore should be paged calling (306) 655-5000 and ask the attendant to page Spiritual Care.
