If you’ve never heard of chronic kidney disease, you’re not alone. Awareness of chronic kidney disease worldwide is very low – even in high-risk populations. Early detection is crucial in managing the disease and improving health outcomes. We are committed to providing early screening and education for kidney disease in Saskatchewan.

Through a partnership with St. Paul’s Hospital, the Saskatchewan Health Authority, the Lac La Ronge Indian Band, and one other community, we are launching a pilot project to provide early screening for kidney disease. This initiative includes screening equipment, patient education sessions, and one-on-one clinics. The data gathered from this program will be used to inspire an enduring early diagnosis system for at-risk communities in Saskatchewan.

By bringing these screening programs to rural and remote areas, we aim to empower individuals to identify their risk of kidney disease and take preventive measures. With your help, we can decrease the burden of chronic kidney disease and kidney failure on at-risk communities and our healthcare systems.
